I was sitting at my desk wondering what to write. I looked up to my shelf and saw the collection of my favourite books, that took me back to the days when I read 5-10 page books.
The first novel that I remember reading was 'Grandma's Bag of Stories' by Sudha Murthy. They were cute moralistic short stories. I don't remember much of it as I read it 7 years ago but I loved that book...and it struck me that I should make a list of my favourite books.
Of all the books that I have read till now here are 10 books I strongly recommend.

People are getting poisoned randomly and Ellie and Lottie know the culprit is residing in Rosewood Hall. Both of them have the extra stress of school on their shoulders...will they find the criminal in time?
The author, Connie Glynn, has done an excellent job on this book. With so many confounding climax twists, I guarantee you that you'll find this book jaw-opening.
Unfortunately, I haven't read the next book, 'The Lost Princess' as yet, but I soon will.

Gladys Gatsby loves cooking gourmet dishes, she's been cooking since the age of seven! But her fast- food-loving parents have no idea. Now she's eleven and after a crème brûlée accident (just a small fire), Gladys is cut off from the kitchen (and her allowance). She's devastated, but soon finds a way to pay her parents back when she's mistakenly contacted to write a restaurant review for one of the largest newspapers in the world. But in order to meet her deadline and keep her dream job, Gladys must cook her way into the heart of her archenemy and sneak into New York City- all while keeping her identity a secret!
All Four Stars is the book which inspired me to start writing food reviews. Tara Dairman has done an excellent job on the series, keeping everything interesting and making sure that the reader's don't get bored. This series may seem childish...but don't judge a book by its cover.

From a school librarian to a hugely successful author, she has a three-book deal on this series, her third book 'The Map of Stories' is coming out very soon!
Facebook Phantom by Suzanne Sangi
After her board exams are over, Sonali- Li to her friends- meets a strange man on Facebook, Omi Daan. What begins as an idle chat soon takes over her waking hours and her dreams, as she, and through her, her friends Jo and Neel, get sucked inexorably into a world of darkness, danger and death.
This book is for ages 11 and above. Facebook Phantom is a thriller and horror novel, it's the first and best one I have read. It spreads a strong message of cyber safety and true friendship, want to know how wicked people can be? Then read this book...
The Secret Series by Pseudonymous Bosch
Cass and Max-Ernest are members of a secret society called 'The Terces Society'. They are fighting a group called 'The Midnight Sun'. Cass is a survivalist and Max-Ernest is a....well a....ummm...he's a......let's say he's a chatterbox who has a big brain as well as a big mouth. This series details every single one of their missions against the Midnight Sun...read on!
This is the best series I have EVER read! I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this series. If you like the famous series 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' by Lemony Snicket, then I'm one hundred per cent sure you'll like this one too! In fact, the author, Pseudonymous Bosch, got inspired to write the Secret Series from Lemony Snicket...he mentions it in his first book.
Alice In Deadland by Mainak Dhar
Civilization as we know it ended more than fifteen years ago, leaving as it's legacy, barren wastelands called the Deadland and a new terror for the humans who survived- hordes of undead Biters.
Fifteen-year-old Alice has spent her entire life in the Deadland, her education consisting of how best to use guns and knives in the ongoing war for survival against the Biters.
One day, Alice spots a Biter disappearing into a hole in the ground and follows it, in search of fabled underground Biter bases...turns out following people can turn your whole life around.
My best friend gifted me the first book 2 years ago, she's the one who introduced it to me...so kudos to you Sabrina. This book sends a powerful message of women empowerment and how girls are worthy of being leaders. Alice led her army so bravely, I was impressed. If you're in the mood for a violent and exciting book...read this trilogy.
Raina just wants to be a normal sixth-grader. But one night, after her Girl Scouts meeting, she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. From embarrassing headgears to on and off braces, she just wants to smile without being awkward about it. This book details her journey to smile again.
Smile is the best comic I have ever read. I know many people don't like comics but I suggest you give this one a try. Its all you ever need in a book.

Dr Arthur Calgary arrives too late with the proof that could have confirmed Jacko's innocence- and another family member's guilt...the door of the family was locked the night Rachel Argyle died.
Ordeal by Innocence is a twisted and complicated mystery. Each chapter ends in a kind of haunted way. I strongly recommend this book because it tells us the true nature of people and how cruel and merciless they can be. This is one of my most favourite books.
